Topic
“Circular Economy”

The idea of the project group of the Humboldt-Schule Kiel revolutionizes the way of dealing with smart phones. As a rule, smart phones are frequently replaced rather than repaired. A licensed service provider ensures repairing and updating of the smart phone, so that a value recovering event takes place and the value-decreasing event is stopped. Thereby electronic waste can be significantly reduced.

Topic
“The Design of Fiscal Consolidations Plans”

The project group of Max-Planck-Schule Kiel argues that a limitation of public debts ensures prosperity and stability in the long run. They call for clear rules on the reduction of GDP-to-debt-ratio, but at the same time allow for large scale investments if they are legitimized by a referendum. This referendum automatically results in tax increases.

In the opinion of the project group of the Helene-Lange-Gymnasium Rendsburg, Quantitative Easing alone is not a solution for the fiscal challenges lying ahead. They call for long-term alternatives to Quantitative Easing, since deficit spending just passes on the problem to future generations.

“Migrants Knocking on Europe’s Doors: Towards a Coherent Response to Irregular Immigration”

A major problem with the refugee crisis is the provision of information.
