Das YES! Team Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Ulm

Hallo zusammen!

Lori - Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Ulm

Lori

My name’s Lori and I’m an 18 year old art maniac. I also happen to be in love with literature, travel, Rock and martial arts. Ever since I can first remember, I’ve been interested in finding out more about science, politics and just generally understanding how the world around us works.I think my main reason for joining my school’s YES! competition thus is not only to widen my own insight into how the things I’m curious about work, but also to get a chance to influence those mechanics.

Janna - Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Ulm

Janna

Hi from me! I’m Janna, 16 and just like the others I’m in eleventh grade. I was originally born near Düsseldorf but then moved to Ulm at the age of eight. I really love reading, spend way too much time on tumblr and watching TV- series (do you know “Person of interest”? If yes, awesome. If no, go watch it! #shoot) and one of my favourite things to do is go skiing or snowboarding. I also absolutely hate spiders (okay so it’s not their fault that they’re this hairy and I know that they’re more scared of me than I am of them but they just make me feel so uncomfortable!) and I always beg my mom to remove them but she doesn’t do it because she’s as scared of them as I am and would just kill them and I don’t want her to do that. I also passionately love  physics (and chemistry and biology and science in general) and like to discuss politics. I believe this is a pretty good overview of me and I hope you keep up with our progress!

Danny - Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Ulm

Danny

My name is Danny. I decided to participate in the young economic summit because I want to progress in my economic knowledge and my English speaking and writing skills. I am very proud of my team and its members. We all may have different personalities but we share one goal: to win the south-west competition, present our solutions at the young economic summit in Kiel and make a difference.

Samuel

I’m Samuel, 16 years old. I am very interested in are sports and psychology. In my free time, I enjoy casting various online Leagues in English, giving me a better understanding of the English language as a whole. Taxation for me is more than just a form of financing for the state. It involves not only questions about funding and money but fairness. A word, barely anyone has yet to define perfectly. Taxation as a whole gives us a lot of room to work on, as it has plenty of facets that are not being seen on the first look. That’s where I want to hopefully bring in some kind of a psychological view as well. I am looking forward to the opportunity of this project and how it will turn out in the end.

Akari - Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Ulm

Akari

My name is Akari and I’m in 11th grade at the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium. I am fascinated by economics, especially concerning finance and accounting. As I find Japanese game plots interesting, I enjoy researching game storylines and dedicating some semi-original works to them. I am very glad to deal with this particular topic together with my team and hope that I can contribute whatever little to my team.

David - Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Ulm

David

Hello! I’m David, 16 years old and the group’s student representative. I am very keen on politics and economics and therefore glad to have the opportunity to take an active role and develop new approaches to managing our fiscal system. The YES! programme might give us the possibility of actually influencing a world that will determine our future, something that I believe is extremely important to all of us. In my free time, I love playing the guitar, travelling and exploring new places and riding my longboard or bicycle. I also am a competitive chess player. I’m really looking forward to working together with my team and hope that we can not only be successful at the competition, but also learn many new things, meet new people and have a great time!
